I’ve finally won this year’s biggest battle: Book 2 of The Talent Show is done and ready to go out to beta readers. From there, it gets whatever remedial treatment they suggest, then it will go to my editor and I’ll commission a cover for it, get it formatted and the launch will be sometime in early 2016.

For those wanting a sneak preview, there will be one posted on this site shortly!

At a final wordcount of 213,304 (cut down from 250,000) it really feels like quite an achievement. The later launch is really only down to one thing: getting a book like this edited is a little bit costly, and I have to save the capital for it.

Owing to my not so hot financial situation at the time, Shadow’s Talent was launched with my own edits and those from a few charitable readers. Now that fortunes are better, I’ve decided to give the whole book the overhaul it really needs to make it that one stage better: I’ve hired an editor who is currently working on it, and will be getting the book re-formatted.

Gearing up for the launch of a second book in a series is exciting, and will mean a number of equally exiting promotional things in the not so distant future. Stay tuned for more news! I’m currently in the process of setting up a mailing list so I can start sending out newsetters, advanced reader copies and promotional material to anyone who signs up. Stay posted!
